I thought that there should have been a larger talent search before a decision was made.
Just speculating but Rakow probably didn't like the idea of serving as president while the search went on. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I remember that you were an initial supporter of Thompson and I also clearly remember who edged out Olson. Personally, I was not in favor of hiring a GM the way it was done. I thought that there should have been a larger talent search before a decision was made. The lack of experience bothered me. |
