Bob, I think reasonable people can debate what company should manage the golf course. However, I think reasonable people would also come to the conclusion that Thompson should not have said what he said in public. If he did have concerns, those should have been brought up to the president in private or possibly to all board members via email.
Stevens was correct. Thompson's intent was not to bring this before the board, rather to make a public issue of Thompson's disagreement with his employer's decision. Thompson decided to involve himself very publicly in board politics. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Wow! I agree....does Thompson realize he's the hired help? Reading the transcript I wonder if he was all there, sounded pretty incoherent. And I am not "his" anything and while it might be nice if the current staff could be kept on board, their sponsor lost and one doesn't usually get mulligans in life, unless of course your name is Bob Thompson. |
