My point about Governance is that while I respect and applaud Volunteerism the stark reality is that our HOA has evolved, to include the regulatory framework in which an HOA operates. As owners, I suggest our interests would best be served by professional management of the Pines and not by the hap-hazard organizational structure that exists today and the acrimonious relationship between the GM and Board. The existing structure simply does not serve our best interests, which is what was meant by my comment of no longer willing to paying for good intentions. An organism evolves within its environment and so must our organizational structure evolve to accommodate the vastly changing needs of our HOA.

The role of the Board should be the development of the Strategic plan or vision for the Pines, with input from the membership, and the day-to-day operations of this multi-million dollar organization should be placed in the hands of peoples that have the requisite experiential background to manage and implement the strategic objectives in the most efficient and professional manner. The Board may have final oversight however the day-to-day operations should be left to the professionals.

People can disagree however they can do so with civility, which was lacking on my part. Thank you for permitting me to express my views in a more cogent and civil manner and I sincerely apologize for my comment.
