For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I think perhaps the enclosed pool fiasco is partly the result of some study or survey. You are correct. But, it was not a professional study or survey. The Board, at that time, decided to utilize a survey conducted by a couple of their own members who stood at the door and asked people coming in to the pool (and nobody else), "Will you use the pool in the winter if we cover it?" The alternative would have been to pay a qualified third party for advise. They could even have consulted already published stories on the fiscal viability of other covered community pools. They did neither. |
