What do you want in writing from the state
Look at the aassessments along windjamer golf course are valued $20K more than lots across the street. In 34 years I never saw a lot adjacent to a park valued higher than a lot not adjacent to a park based on that proximity. Basic principals of appraisal |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The Maryland assessment dept values golf course lot $20,000 more than a non golf course lot. Are you willing to pay each of those owners the $20K after it is turned into a park? Where can I find this in writing from the state? At any rate, I assume you have assurances or knowledge that the assessment would not go up if the area was open space instead of a golf course? Appraised values are based on prior sales of similar homes in the same area. |
