This idea that the course only inures to the benefit of the 130 is not my view.
I did not suggest that was the case. However, a membership declining from over 800 to 115 surely indicates a trend to me. Again, I know from a previous post to me you were only concerned about having a location with water access and not concerned about any of the amenities. No special concern, other than I would like to see them managed properly. If they cannot be managed properly, for whatever reason, close, them or replace them with something different perhaps. I was an active member of the tennis facility for many years. I also served as president of the Ocean Pines Tennis Club. Also, I have seen nothing that indicates a majority of the 8440 want to close the course. Nor have I see the corollary.... nothing indicates a majority of 8440 want to keep it open. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe, I do want to keep the course open not just for 130 people. There are many residents who use the course when they can as part timers. I have been one who has for 33 years. It is one of the main reasons I bought here. I understood I would be financing all the amenities. This idea that the course only inures to the benefit of the 130 is not my view. While I respect your work on the forum I take your view on the amenities with a grain of salt understanding you probably want to close them all as long as you have water access. I don't mean this as a personal attack. Just my view at this point. Larry |
