Not completely accurate Marty, Eagles has a pretty large contingent of local players and local organizations, they offer a Talon Pass to residents of Worcester, Wicomico and Somerset counties with substantial discounts off the rack rate. Their cart rate is $14/round vs $22/round at OP. I don't know the ratio of local play to visitor/vacationer play. But yes there are a large number of golf outings from the upper NE during the shoulder seasons and many vacationers throughout the summer months. Although I'm not sure of the rates they pay since they book their times through outing agencies. One of the problems is figuring out exactly what rate golfers are paying since there are so many discount programs at all the local courses, especially during the off season.
The last time I was told of the revenue by OC Staff, it was about 3.4 million for 2014, but I didn't attempt to validate that number so I am relying on a direct conversation rather than an accounting statement. What was OP revenue for that year? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Steve: The last time I checked Eagle's Landing did about a 1/3 more in revenue then OPA. However, are you aware that Eagle's landing has no membership. They rely on vacationers paying top retail $ for AM tee times. Marty |
