Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Board Reps Meet with LU Msg# 938382

Marty, I do not know who is correct on the amount of revenue collected by Eagles landing. I heard they did well over a million a year. It is true that they do not have memberships but they do a good job of having promotions to get players. They also give big discounts to clubs and organizations that play at their course. They want and need players to frequent their golf course so they offer many golf packages from the various hotels. I suggest that OP do the same. This is something that OP has not been willing to do in the past, so no additional outside playing from different groups. This is not a good policy and you and the OP Board need to improve on this if you want to increase the play and income in OP.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Steve: The last time I checked Eagle's Landing did about a 1/3 more in revenue then OPA. However, are you aware that Eagle's landing has no membership. They rely on vacationers paying top retail $ for AM tee times. Marty |
