Section 5: OPA Board Subject: OPA Food Truck Msg# 940275

it was my understanding that it was for five years and not to collected in perpetuity,
John I agree with your and Marty's views. Should be much more openness. Regarding this as well as many other topics. The board should not be relying on some clause or phrase buried some where in the plan, or in discussions (long forgotten) when the plan was adopted. "Five yrs" should mean what it says. PS Are you for or against continuing this GM here?? Tom |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The plan was called a "Five-Year Plan" but the details of the plan were to increase the amount of reserve contributions incrementally each year for five years and then continue to collect that amount indefinitely. When I voted for the plan it was my understanding that it was for five years and not to collected in perpetuity, however, I could be wrong and you could be right. Lets just leave it at that. Unauthorized? Ridiculous. The assessment is set each year by a board vote. I fully understand the power of four or more board members, however, If one agrees with Marty's premise that the plan was only for five years and I do then the Board should recognize it for what it is and tell the members that the 146 dollars is a carry over on top of the other assesment increase. I am sure you will disagree but that is ok. I will just go back to my cooking and baking which is IMO a lot more fun |
