I've owned a home in Ocean Pines since 2007.  Masochist?  To the contrary, I welcome the challenge.  In my experience, one of the tactics used by those that want continued support of their position on an issue is to do things to get the opposition to a level of frustration that they abandon their involvement.  Unless I am mistaken, it looks like you may have accepted the current way in which things are done within the OPA.

I cannot and will not be one of those who throw their hands in the air in frustration and say "whatever"  or "never mind" as they walk away from the situation.  I have begun and will continue to work towards addressing these and similar issues as best I can, even knowing that these questions and points of order may be perceived as nothing more than a nuisance to the "ruling gentry" you mention.  The "nuisance" or "white noise" approach is also a tactic, and its an art not a science.
