When the board moved $50,000 or so from parking to Aquatics it had no idea of the counts for use of the pool passes. Like most things around here, they acted without proper information.

If my memory serves me right, the proposed change in accounting was based on more than a SWAG (Scientific Wild A** Guess). I think it was based more on estimated costs to run the Beach Club Pool. Secondly, the proposal seemed to be favored, from a theoretical view, by most B&FAC members at the time and by Pete Gomsak, Bob Thompson and the Aquatics manager.

My primary reservation was that the change should be footnoted on both the Aquatics and Beach Club Parking revenue lines on the monthly financial reports. To the best of my knowledge this was only done for last two months I was on the committee and then stopped.  I am sure this was purely coincidental.
