Ms. Scott,
Terry's amendment to my motion passed 4-3 (Cordwell (if you remember he said he was "done" with courts issue), Collins ans Stevens against the amendment). What passed on a vote of 6-1 (Cordwell against) was Tom Terry's AMENDED version of my motion, not my original motion. Only time will tell what exactly will happen at the playground area, with a motion so vague, I do not believe anyone can tell now, except, perhaps, the 4 who voted for it and Mr. Thompson. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Mr. Terry's amendment to my motion then passed by a 6-1 vote, which Mr. Stevens, by the way, approved. Tom, My observation of the meeting revealed that Mr. Terry's amendment to your motion passed 5-2, with you voting yes to amend your own motion. Collins and Stevens voted no on the amendment. What passed on a vote of 6-1 was your motion as amended, with Collins and Stevens voting yes even though they had both just voted no on the amended language. The Playground project should be a separate issue in my opinion. Is that not what the board voted on when Tom Terry's motion passed? It only involves the playground relocation and repair along with parking lot improvements and the building of a fence. |
