Terry's original motion contained this....
What did the motion that passed contain? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: It only involves the playground relocation and repair along with parking lot improvements and the building of a fence. You failed to mention what is arguably the most expensive part of the Phase One $150,000. Terry's original motion contained this (bold by me): "The community parking lot, playground repair and re-alignment, storm water mitigation and fencing are not part of the conflict over pickleball courts vs. platform courts or the remainder of the Manklin Creek project." Thompson had previously told the board that the project price went from $250,000 to $750,000 due primarily to the need for stormwater mitigation." What the board voted to do is to pay for all the storm water mitigation costs that will be required when/if the board OKs construction of eight pickleball courts. Notice also the cute and obviously intentional play on words with "playground repair and re-alignment." The playground is being moved, perhaps as much as 50 yards or more. OPA is doing this work so all will be ready if some future board decides to build eight pickleball courts. I have never seen a board majority go so far out of the way to use wording so as to purposely mislead association members. |
