Why harp on what amounts to relatively minor issues or trying to make minor gotcha points like spelling Cordwell's name incorrectly when the issue here is a $750,000 project and the board voting 4-3 to go ahead with Phase One of that project without adequate cost information and awarding the contract to a bidder $60,000 higher than the qualified lower bidder on very flimsy conditions.
To my knowledge there was no attempt to speak with both bidders and attempt to "level" the bids. This entire process pushed by Terry is a scandal. Let me add also that any attempt to portray the second motion asking the GM to look into using existing tennis courts for four pickleball courts as meaning the current board majority sees this as a way to save money and forget entirely about the "master plan" is to put forth a preposterous notion. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Terry's amendment to my motion passed 4-3 (Caldwell (if you remember he said he was "done" with courts issue), Collins and Stevens against the amendment). So you voted in support of Terry's amendment to your motion? What passed on a vote of 6-1 (Caldwell against) was Tom Terry's AMENDED version of my motion, not my original motion. Correct. The amendment you supported. The amended version even got the support of Stevens and Collins after they had voted against the amendment. By the way, who is "Caldwell?" |
