No, it's not a scandal.  But you're attempting to make it a scandal.  I thought this process was being pushed by the Racquet Sports Association?

Let me add also that any attempt to portray the second motion asking the GM to look into using existing tennis courts for four pickleball courts as meaning the current board majority sees this as a way to save money and forget entirely about the "master plan" is to put forth a preposterous notion.   (bold added by me)

I don't believe anyone has suggested that the board has entirely forgotten about the master plan.  What the board has voted to do is look at alternatives to what was in the original master plan and possibly move forward with Mr. Herrick's motion to use two existing tennis courts converted to four pickleball courts along with adding two paddleball courts.  Doing so will result in spending hundreds of thousands less money and bring about essentially the same end.
