For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: “Thse sources say $70,000 to over $100,000 was stolen directly at the Yacht Club over a 24-month period. The accused perpetrator is said to have confessed, but OPA did nothing other than fire the individual.” So let me get this straight in my mind. Individuals that have lived here many years can miss an assessment payment (for whatever financial difficulty) and the Board orders the GM to instruct the attorney to file a lien. His neighbor steals $100 grand, gets fired, walks free and maybe pays off his mortgage. The Board thinks this is 1) OK 2) in the best interest of the Association and 3) Fair. Just wanted to make sure I understand the logic behind the majority‘s collective thinking. Frank |
