Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Theft & Corruption at YC Msg# 1005910

That answers who initiated the investigation of the theft at the admin building. Was there any investigation initiated for the 24 month-long series of thefts at the Yacht Club? Or did the individual simply get caught by superiors, and confess to them? Was law enforcement involved at all, or was this handled by OPA higher ups exclusively? If so, why? | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Who is in charge of determining whether charges should be pressed? I would think the Board of Directors could ask for an investigation if showing some proof of theft. I'd expect anyone can accuse anyone of anything. If I recall correctly, we have been told in a local paper that the Board did not initiate the law enforcement investigation of the theft of $30,000 or so from the Admin Building. We were told that it was initiated by Brett Hill and John Viola. Thank goodness for Hill and Viola or association members would not know any theft happened. Anyone can feel free to ask either the validity of this. |
