Not at all..... stating that just requesting a forensic audit guarantees nothing. If this is truly to be all-encompassing, controls should be determined and implemented at the initial request to ensure there is action taken upon completion of the audit.
No board can bind a future board in the manner you suggest. The only thing that can force a future board's action is political impact, or taking OPA to court. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: None. However, what then is your point? Are you saying because we cannot guarantee what future boards will do that we should do nothing? Not at all..... stating that just requesting a forensic audit guarantees nothing. If this is truly to be all-encompassing, controls should be determined and implemented at the initial request to ensure there is action taken upon completion of the audit. If it is determined that the OPA BOD feels the need for and request/approves/appropriates funds for an audit, there needs to be a corresponding action to act upon recommendations/results of same. |
