| I agree with you Joe. A more solid bid needs to be obtained before any reasonable analysis can take place. This is a rough pass rough parameters statement of intent with a $159 thousand minimum cost annually for what appears to me to be primarily supervision of the bookkeeping function and use of the L and N software. The integrity of any financial reporting system begins with accurate bookkeeping so it certainly deserves its share of resources. At the end of the day this may certainly be a viable option. I'm not sure why a new federal identification number (EIN) is needed especially since OP under the identified specs, continues to responsible for all payroll functions. | ||||||

The board had it almost a year ago. It has received little or no public discussion, to my knowledge. Seems to me it is surely worth serious consideration, especially if the board want to be transparent and fair with the membership. While this proposal contains a dollar estimate, we have zero information regarding the top secret numbers on new software purchase or long term lease contract gathered by the Technology Work Group and presented in a top secret meeting to the board due to Non Disclosure Agreements the board does not know who signed or authorized. Given this input from Legum & Norman, a comparison of some sort could be made, at least to determine if obtaining a more solid bid from Legum is appropriate. |
