I agree on your “too formal” comment. However I am still not clear how this Peer Praise Notes thing is intended to work. You and Colby discuss this as a program that allows supervisors to thank their workers.
Reading the actual words HR used to announce the program are confusing as to who is peer praising who. If I was mowing lawns would it be appropriate for me to write a PEER Praise Note to the Director of Public Works or the GM? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Perhaps this program is a bit too formal. I don't think we need four-part farms. On the other hand, simply a verbal thank-you, while appreciated, does not continue to have an affect afterwards. A written Thank-you continues to encourage good behavior and builds the feeling of being appreciated and not taken for granted. |
