Gary, your instructor was a wise person! I have 125 people that report to me and I know from many years of interviewing and hiring people many things should be looked at and considered when your looking for long time employees! The last 10 years have taught me that if you don't understand cell phone usage and social media you better not hire any of the younger generation! I have young maintenance people that can find a part or a manual on the internet quicker than I can figure out what I need! Search for people that Fit the job not the stereo type model! | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: My Personnel instructor at University of Baltimore told me it is not what field your degree is in. Any degree shows how much hard work and stamina one has to get that degree. Employers are seeking those people, they will train you on the specifics of the business. Colby has the needed intangibles and hard work. |
