I agree no one likes ponds by their homes for the simple fact of bugs, algae and sometimes smell. If they are irrigated and treated they can tolerate them but that's about it | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I was wondering if anyone ever thought instead of moving all the water so far away would it be better to buy some of these low level properties/ homes, clear the land/ knock the home down and build some sediment ponds on the location where the water runs and lays naturally. Won't work. The ponds would fill in heavy rains and overflow. Besides OPA cannot just force people to sell their property. In the end, I suspect your plan would be more expensive than 10 million. |
