I could agree with that scenario but do you agree that the existing infrastructure when changed should be upgraded for the new outfall? The plan I have been talking about did have Bainbridge pond being enlarged, by how much I cannot remember so yes you are correct on pointing these things out. As for the fully comprehensive plan it was done 10 years ago just not sure where it went. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Kerry, you mention options. What troubles me is we had a design plan for a $1.6 million project. Now we have no place to put the water. What troubles me is the board is not even looking at options to get rid of the water as we embark on an $800,000 project. Full speed ahead on spending with no planning for the future. For example, if we were to do the drinage pipe down Beauchamp, perhaps the work to increse the holding capicity of Bainbridge Pond woudlnot be necessary. I don't know that answer. We need a fully comprehensive plan to reduce floooding in that area as mush as possible. If the only viable solution is a drain pipe down Beauchman, let's design the overall project with that in mind, not proceed with a project that was planned around another outfall that is no longer available. |
