Hi,
Sea level does not affect drainage you are right, but it will add to the flooding in yards as it rises. Been studying a little on flooding this last year and interestingly, in 2020 597 homes in OP are at a flood risk. By 2040 it almost doubles to 955 homes and by 2060, 1,511 homes. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Not to mention sea levels are rising. It’s important we do what we can now to improve whatever we are able too for us as well as future generations. Any rise in sea level does not impact OPA drainage of rainfall runnoff unless OP goes under water due to sea rise. At tht point we are essentially doomed. There will be no future generations here unless we start saving money for a dike around all of OP. Wonder what that would cost? |
