Joe, why is the old golf course not an option for water run off? We were told houses are to be built on the old golf course so maybe the plan is to build a pond and still pipe water into it from OP. Just saying,..where there is a will..there is a way.
OK, I will take a shot at that answer. The developer of the old golf course property would have to build a pond for run off from his new homes. OPA offered to build the pond if they could also use it to pipe water from OPA. That would seem to benefit both parties but the developer thought he could hold up OPA and wanted $500,000 for the land on which the pond would be situated. In my opinion the BOD did the correct thing in refusing to cave in to that request. I believe Joe thought it would be worth it to pay the developer the 500K for the property. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: "That is what this new project was intended to do. The idea was to run the water into another pond across Beauchamp Road on the old golf course property. That option, the basis of the entire project, is no longer available. No more water can be run into the River Run Pond." Joe, why is the old golf course not an option for water run off? We were told houses are to be built on the old golf course so maybe the plan is to build a pond and still pipe water into it from OP. Just saying,..where there is a will..there is a way. |
