Joe, why is the old golf course not an option for water run off?
For starters, we don't own the property. There are legal issues for the developer/owner. If he sold a chunk to OPA for the drainage project or even gave it to OPA, it would reduce the number of homes he can build. There are also some issues with leasing any land to OPA. When the project was conceived OPA was apparently told by the county, or someone, that OPA could dump water in a pond created by the builder for his project. Seems that was the basis of the entire engineering study we paid for. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: "That is what this new project was intended to do. The idea was to run the water into another pond across Beauchamp Road on the old golf course property. That option, the basis of the entire project, is no longer available. No more water can be run into the River Run Pond." Joe, why is the old golf course not an option for water run off? We were told houses are to be built on the old golf course so maybe the plan is to build a pond and still pipe water into it from OP. Just saying,..where there is a will..there is a way. |
