Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Bainbridge Drainage Msg# 1098267

Well, if you and Marty are correct about any drainage to a pond on the old golf course property, the OPA and the county just spent a ton of time and effort and money, not to mention obtaining a state grant of maybe $400,000 or more, on a design you and Marty say cannot work.
I suspect draining to a pond on the old golf course is viable. My recollection is that the problem Marty references was not getting the water to the pond, rather from the pond to the bay and the cost associated with that. This current project was predicated on OPA being able to run water to a pond and drain-to-the-bay system installed by the developer for his project. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Marty, that is exactly what I was thinking but I was afraid to print it! I have never heard 10 million on any project I was involved in! Jimmy B may remember but I will look back and see if I have any info! I remember what Colby has proposed but it drained on our property all the way to the park but it has been awhile since I was involved! its time to slay this Dragon! Overdue!! |
