![]() ![]() Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Bainbridge Drainage Msg# 1098282

OPA apparently has an engineer who one would assume designed the drainage flow from OPA to a pond on the old golf course. A pond will be built on the old course for the new development.
I would never say you were wong, but would like to see some evidence that you are correct and not just continuing to vent about Thompson. We must have some design drawings that indicate elevations. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe: I am not familiar with any recent engineering, only the work OPA had done under Thompson’s direction. That plan showed the elevation of the Pines Shore property being higher then the elevations at the Bainbridge culvert on Beauchamp Road. One of the few things I remember from my limited civil engineering studies is that water flows downhill and not up. The plan Thompson used, as well as the large aerial photograph on the wall of his office, both included land that belonged to River Run. Two entire River Run golf holes being depicted as Pine Shore property. The wrongly included land was the only land that had access to the river. The only way I could convince my friend Dave Stevens was I had him count the golf holes inside and outside the yellow tape border on the aerial. That’s right, came up with 20 at Pines Shore and only 16 at River Run. Marty |
