Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Board to Dump Janasek? Msg# 1104411

Maybe I don't understand, but in the Douty case it seems the board is saying an employee cannot bring ethics charges against a board member. Yet in this case that is exactly what is happening -- Viola, an employee, is bringing ethics charges against one of his employers. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe: ”Viola says either Janasek goes or Viola goes.” I personally like and respect both Viola and Janasek and have no dog in the hunt. However, there is a distinction. Viola is a employee and Janasek is a elected volunteer Director of OPA which is Mr. Viola’s employer. As a past director I have been in Janasek’s seat but more importantly I am also the past president of a successful local real estate development company. I can assure you my company wouldn’t have been successful if I buckled to every employee who threatened to leave if he didn’t have his way. Marty |
