If you read the post by the resident, it looks like Perrone filed in until the GM arrived. The resident said the meeting was cordial. What happened afterwards is something neither of us know. We do know what Colby said happened. We do not know the other side.
The only charge where we can see what actually happened is related to the Jan 19 budget meeting. I watched the entire one hour interaction and Perrone did nothing wrong. In fact, questioning how Aquatics could avoid another $400,000 loss was exactly what he should have been doing. Employees present at meetings said Perrone did not yell at her. Without firm FACTS how can the board take action against Perrone? It sounds to me like there were also major interior department head squabbles going on with two other department heads believing Colby was trying to undermine the GM. Must have been one heck of a dysfunctional TEAM even without Perrone allegations Sure makes all that TEAM nonsense emanating out of OPA sound absurd. |

On June 30, 2020, Mr. Perrone met with Ms. Phillips, another Ocean Pines employee, and a resident to discuss the resident’s complaints. When the resident left, Ms. Phillips alleged Mr. Perrone chastised her for allowing the resident complaint to escalate. Ms. Phillips recounted that Mr. Perrone stated Ms. Phillips should be able to handle the matter. Ms. Phillips recalled Mr. Perrone spoke to her in a demeaning, condescending, and aggressive manner. She further recalled that Mr. Perrone was yelling at her. I am well aware of what the bylaws say. I know that! I posted that language for the benefit to other forum members. |
