No more secrecy as your ballot is returned to an office building location (no longer to a secure PO BOX) and can also now be tampered with based on your name and who you voted for... Not OK
Total paranoia. OPA has never had a requirement for a secret ballot. Our local mail contractor picked up returned ballots and took them back to his office. The local contractor was required, as is the new one, to record each return ballot and associate with a lot. Past versions of M-06 required the mail contractor to separate all ballots from envelopes so they could mot be associated with each other and present a pile of envelopes and a separate pile of ballots to OPA for counting. |
