 GDP? Economic depression? Why cry wolf of only 10%. Heck - go for 50. What on earth is the point of all this speculation? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: A drop of 10% in GDP is generally considered an economic depression in most circles, whereas 2% to 5% drops are generally called recessions. When considering the many factors beyond just visibility, I'd have little doubt that its realistic to estimate that Ocean City could suffer a 10 % decline in tourism. And potentially an even larger percentage. |
