Management was dealing with this problem over three weeks before the budget vote was required and could have provided a good number for the 2025-2026 budget, oh, and with an $800,000 surplus on the books through February there wouldn’t be any need to increase the the assessment. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I have reviewed the agenda and find it interesting that two (2) of the Capital Requests are not budgeted. That’s right, at the very first meeting since the 2025-2026 budget was approved the board is being asked to pass $112,992 outside of the budget. A budget they approved just thirty three (33) days ago. Unbelievable! Well, perhaps not as unbelievable as you might surmise. The Boccie courts are, I believe, being done under the current year operations. The goal is to provide a new income producing amenity. I suspect it will make money. The repair of the gym floor was not in the budget for the coming year, as it was unknown at the time of approving the budget as to exactly what needed to be done. Perhaps more believable than one might initially imagine. |
