Agree to disagree.....employees work for operations
Words have meaning. Agreed, the employees are not employees of the association members. The employees are hired by and work for the Ocean Pines Association, Inc. The GM is the operational person, the Board's only employee you might say, who may hire or delegate hiring of all other employees of the Ocean Pines Association, Inc. Ultimately, the Board of Directors controls everything, even operations, in the sense that the board can fire the GM. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Agree to disagree.....employees work for operations and operations does all the hiring, promotions and terminations, etc. The only involvement the board has is with the GM and is the only employee that reports to the board and works at the pleasure of the board. Operational issues are different (ie: amenities, etc.) I understand transparency, but not when it deals with personnel matters Rick |
