Joe:
I really don’t want to rehash history that I believe you know as well as I. Sometime around 1987 (?) OPA wasn’t getting a dime of the Maryland road tax. I was developing lots in Ocean Pines and Lake Linganore. The board at Lake Linganore gave me a copy of their public use agreement that was allowing them to receive money to help with their road maintenance. I brought that agreement to Tim Stoner and Joe Moore and we basically changed the names and legal description and the County gladly started giving us our fair share. Marty |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: It was impossible for the County to support private roads OPA still OWNS the roads, not Worcester County, as you frequently observe. My point, you ask? Rather simple - provide facts. The County can stop giving OPA a cut of state road funds any time it pleases. As for Lake Linganore, do they have a similar agreement with Frederick County? |
