He said we could save ourselves a lot of money because of waterfront properties.....???? Stachurski is getting at the fact that a municipality would impose taxes based on property value. Since waterfront properties are more valuable, he believes those properties would pay much more than most interior lots. In other words, Dan would take more from others to reduce his own taxes. As an HOA all lots pay the same to support the amenities. Dan wants to end that system. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe, I asked Dan after the meeting today how he could possibly think that over 50% of us would vote to disinfranchise ourselves. He said we could save ourselves a lot of money because of waterfront properties.....???? The question still remains...."why would we cut ourselves out of our own "government"?? What do the waterfront lots have to do with it? I didn't even ask him because it ain't gonna happen. Nancy |
