For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I cannot say with 100% certainty and maybe Bill Rakow/Marty Clarke can comment but I believe that preliminary meetings have been held with the "permitting gods" down in Snow Hill in an attempt to try to find potential areas of "concern" by those kind folks. Reid, While I could comment on what I know - or think I know - I believe it would be best if the GM through our Public Affairs Department keep the membership informed. There is just too much potential for a misstatement were Marty or I to speak for OPA. BTW, to respond to Nancy Weber's comment on why the site was changed to the other side of WHP, as I understand it the principal reason was that codes require specific setbacks for fire stations and the site next to the CH along the road did not have the depth to allow for that.
