Mr. Wilson, I stopped by the YC and was prepared to spend considerably more than $7. We were a party of 4 and went in for an early (4:30 p.m.) dinner. Only one table was occupied at the time. I asked for a window table and was told they are ALL RESERVED! In other words: "We don't give a damn if you eat here or not, but if you choose to eat here it ain't gonna be at a window table," We walked out and spent plenty at a place over in West OC. Bob

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: So the yacht club belongs to OP owners and you and other directors want us to tell you what to do with the place ........ The point to be made is that on average if every member stopped by the YC just once each month and spent only $7.00, there would be no YC deficit. Who can't do that? If you don't like the food, order a drink or two. Whether the YC is being managed properly, as in can the deficit be reduced by better management, is a totally different issue. |
