For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: One board member took great pride in a clause in the new contract saying if the lease was not renewed at some point then Seacrets would have to remove the encroaching structures. This is what the renegotiated lease is all about. A lease signed in 2008 is renegotiated in 2010. Why we have to ask? Who benefits? Just as a prior BOD did on the enclosed pool, this BOD did on the Seacrets lease. A prior BOD made sure the pool enclosed reached a certain point in construction to prevent the new BOD arriving in August from scrapping the project. The current BOD renegotiated the Seacrets lease now to prevent those encroaching structures at Seacrets from being removed by the next or new BOD arriving this August. Seacrets is the real and only winner in the 2010 lease renegotiation. |
