It is just that the bathrooms are underground and there is no easy way to alter that.
Which is exactly why Ocean City tore down the underground bathrooms on the boardwalk at Caroline St and is in the process of replacing them. Of course if the bathrooms at the Beach Club are to be moved above ground it could raise the whole issue of whether the entire facility should be rehabbed or even torn down and rebuilt. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Oh, but I saw your point and agree. The issue for me is how to address the neglect, not whether or not it should be addressed. Joe The beach club IS what it IS. I don't really see it as having been neglected. It has been worked on a LOT over the years. It is just that the bathrooms are underground and there is no easy way to alter that. Keeping sand out of the area would be the main thing that would help....the USERS HAVE TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN! ( the people who bring sand in are probably the same folks who put their trash out too soon, and don't take their cans in.) Nancy |
