Of course if the bathrooms at the Beach Club are to be moved above ground it could raise the whole issue of whether the entire facility should be rehabbed or even torn down and rebuilt. Jack
Jack, As far as I know, the Beach Club is a very sturdy building that has been kept in good condition all these years. Abondoning the bathrooms for a new structure would likely take space from the parking area, and we cannot afford to do that. I have used those bathrooms since they opened and our family did ok with them. I say DO NO HARM. We have enough to deal with! I don't even want to THINK about tearing down a perfectly good building because the bathrooms are not beautiful. Its the BEACH...there is sand. You don't spend any time in the bathroom.....you are there for the beach. I think the folks who experience FLOODING should get some help. That should be at the top of the TO DO List. Nancy |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: It is just that the bathrooms are underground and there is no easy way to alter that. Which is exactly why Ocean City tore down the underground bathrooms on the boardwalk at Caroline St and is in the process of replacing them. |
