Nancy, did you ever go to the pool at Glen Echo when you were a kid? If so, you may remember that the only way you could get into the pool area was to pass through a narrow corridor of stinging showers. The management wanted people to be clean BEFORE they went into the pool and this guaranteed it.
Perhaps OP could rig up a similar system for those entering the bathroom area at the Beach Club. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Oh, but I saw your point and agree. The issue for me is how to address the neglect, not whether or not it should be addressed. Joe The beach club IS what it IS. I don't really see it as having been neglected. It has been worked on a LOT over the years. It is just that the bathrooms are underground and there is no easy way to alter that. Keeping sand out of the area would be the main thing that would help....the USERS HAVE TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN! ( the people who bring sand in are probably the same folks who put their trash out too soon, and don't take their cans in.) Nancy |
