Nancy, did you ever go to the pool at Glen Echo when you were a kid? If so, you may remember that the only way you could get into the pool area was to pass through a narrow corridor of stinging showers. The management wanted people to be clean BEFORE they went into the pool and this guaranteed it. Perhaps OP could rig up a similar system for those entering the bathroom area at the Beach Club. Judy
Hi Judy, I do remember that, but at the Beach Club, the problem is SAND! Even if folks do clean their feet with the hose, there is still all the sand that collects inside your bathing suit! There is no way to avoid that and the bath house is always going to be messy with sand. It needs to be a simple as possible, and easy to clean. That is why it is not worth it to spend a lot of money trying to make it fancy. A decent shower head with warm water, a fixture to hold soap and shampoo, a shower curtain, a counter with drop-in sinks.... and toilets that work. That is all I need. We don't people to love the place and hang around. We want them to come and go as quickly as possible so others can use it. Nancy |
