You seem to have fond memories of the Beach Club. I think after 44 years it would be nice for loyal Beach Club members like yourself to have something more modern and functional then faux marble sinks. You are certainly more tolerant than I. I've only used the same facilities for about 12 years .Norm
Hi Norm, No ...I don't have fond memories of the Beach Club bathrooms. They were ...and always will be... sandy and messy and that will never change. Women's bathing suits collect LOTS of sand! IT IS THE BEACH! The place needs to be as simple and easy to clean as possible. I don't really care what the sinks are made of as long as the faucets work, and warm water comes out of the shower heads. As far as I am concerned they are functional. To spend our money in there would be like putting lipstick on a pig. You go in there, take your shower and get out as soon as possible so the next person can come in. Our money can be spent better some place else. Nancy |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The first time I ever used the Beach Club bathroom was in June of 1969. It has changed little since then...except for the nice new sink area and new mirrors. Hi Nancy, You seem to have fond memories of the Beach Club. I've only used the same facilities for about 12 years. I can't think of a way to "renovate" an underground bathroom that would make any sense. I might have used the word "renovate" but there was a plan to replace. I think the original plan called for replacement, above ground, for around $300,000 to $350,000. I think that has now escaladed to substantially more. Norm |
