What ever happened to the Board revisiting the G.M.'s compensation package after the Board elections?
I have no idea what you mean. The board, as I recall, signed a three-year contract with the GM. The only reviews would be in private to determine if the GM was to receive any of the bonus monies per the contract. I'm guessing with this current board the GM is not counting on a bonus. He has a secret committee which decides who and how much anyone will pay to use the yacht club. Not true. He does have a select group of known individuals he meets with privately but the group does not set use rates for anything. He meets with them for advice as to what he might ultimately advise the board. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: What ever happened to the Board revisiting the G.M.'s compensation package after the Board elections? I only ask because it seems to me that a time displacement episode worthy of the twilight zone has occurred where any discussion of what to do with him has disappeared off the face of the earth. The dissatisfaction that the community expressed before the elections continues,despite Mr. Stevens efforts. The G.M. refuses to tell anyone what the final cost of the yacht club is. He has a secret committee which decides who and how much anyone will pay to use the yacht club. Shouldn't the same price structure apply to one and all? Now he doesn't like Board decisions! He has gone so far as to ridicule the Board by publishing his dissatisfaction in the Bayside Gazette, and continues to challenge the O.P.A. Board. When will Mr. Stevens and Mr Collins realize that it is not in the communities interest to keep this man employed? Thompson continues to act as if he alone should be chief cook and bottle washer for the Pines. Personally I wouldn't keep him on. His being here hinders Board decisions and does not support them.
