It leaves us with the thought that perhaps it was not done.
SUCCESS!!! Mr. Thompson has accomplished exactly what he set out to do; cast doubt in the eyes of members of another Board decision. As poster child for the "GM is right, Board is wrong" group, you fell right in line. If the GM truly had misgivings about the selection made by the Board, the proper procedure for the GM to have followed would have been to document his concerns, marked them "Confidential" and forwarded them to each member of the Board. But alas, following that path would have left "his members" out of the loop. You could, I suppose, hypothesize that the GM did email his concerns last week and was stonewalled with no response so he took the public route. I bet not. Is it any wonder this place is in constant turmoil where the game is always to put the other person in a bad light. Exactly!! It is Mr. Thompson who turned on this light. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: What concerns me is that Jack Collins, who I believe chaired the group, didn't come right out when Thompson lobbed the ball across the plate and respond with a detailed explanation of the vetting process to close the door on that line of questioning. While I did not mention Mr. Collins by name, this is exactly what my thoughts have been. When Thompson asked if this had been done, no one answered Yes. It leaves us with the thought that perhaps it was not done. That, to me, is very troubling. Is it any wonder this place is in constant turmoil where the game is always to put the other person in a bad light. Exactly!! |
