Sounds like a great community but I have one question. Who in God's name retires to Illinois?
Ha Ha!! Actually I didn't retire to IL. I moved for a job and we decided to move into this community since we are now empty nesters. Most of the retired people who live here are long term residents of the Chicago area and have children and grand children in the area. We will probably leave the area once we retire since our children are in DC and ND (not moving there!). Little know fact is Social Security, Pensions and IRA / 401K withdrawals are not taxed by the State of IL. Outrageous property taxes more than make up for it though. Dave |
