With all due respect we are providing boat launching facilities now for FREE to anyone who wants to ignore the signs and use them.
Then we should monitor it. As we ALLOW outside use for free, we are taking from the legitimate members. Should we close the gas facility at the Yacht Club Marina? I would bet that at least a third of our gas sales are to other than property owners. I submit that the gas facility is a business, not necessarily an amenity , and I will not win this so I will quit. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Sharon: "We do not need to be providing boat launch for other than property owners or associate members (legal renters) for free or for pay" For the most part I am in total agreement, however, we are currently providing boat launching facilities for FREE to anyone who wants to ignore the signs and use them. "We are a homeowners association, not the convenient facilities providers for others outside our community" Should we close the gas facility at the Yacht Club Marina? I would bet that at least a third of our gas sales are to other than property owners. What about the pools whose membership is 9% non property owner? Pickle ball has 16% of its membership made up of non property owners. Marty |
