Only time will tell what exactly will happen at the playground area, with a motion so vague, I do not believe anyone can tell now, except, perhaps, the 4 who voted for it and Mr. Thompson.
Indeed. However, based on Terry's actual motion that passed, it seems to me it was to do the work suggested by the GM for $207,000 as Phase One but with the exception of actually building the four pickleball courts. All site work and stormwater items are to be done, as well as move the playground and install some parking (gravel) and fencing. The cost to move the playground, fence, parking should be minimal. I am very concerned about the selection of a contractor with an initial price $60,000 higher than a reputable low bidder. Based on the GM's analysis of the bids, I don't believe the board exercised fiscal responsibility in selecting a contractor; nor did the GM. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Ms. Scott, Terry's amendment to my motion passed 4-3 (Cordwell (if you remember he said he was "done" with courts issue), Collins ans Stevens against the amendment). What passed on a vote of 6-1 (Cordwell against) was Tom Terry's AMENDED version of my motion, not my original motion. Only time will tell what exactly will happen at the playground area, with a motion so vague, I do not believe anyone can tell now, except, perhaps, the 4 who voted for it and Mr. Thompson.
