I absolutely agree that the board should not have to micromanage the GM, but we currently have a GM who cannot be relied upon to even maintain a children's playground. Lacking the votes necessary to replace the GM, the least a director in the minority can do is bring deficiencies to the attention of the membership by making motions such as I suggested. Even if the motion fails, it will open a window into the smoke and mirrors being used to hide current practices or lack thereof. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: As a former president of the board, do you actually believe that "directing the GM to act on the (safety) report" is a function of the board? I think that if a GM doesn't act on a safety report on his own, the function of a board is to look for his replacement. |
